The head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," Gebran Bassil, emphasized that "the movement was born from the army, and it is infused with testimony, resistance, and struggle." He pointed out that "when (the movement) or I criticize the head of the institution or the army commander, I am not criticizing the institution or the army but the person. This is out of our love for the institution and the army, and it is meant to stop mistakes and address them for the benefit of the military institution." He also noted that "the political and financial corruption system has committed a serious crime against the expatriates, who were subjected to the same deception promoted by the (fraudulent scammers) team. With the collapse, the deposits have mostly vanished."
