National Free Movement: Bassil Has No Connection to Airport Building Contract Case

The "National Free Movement" affirmed that neither it nor its president, MP Gebran Bassil, has any involvement, directly or indirectly, in the case concerning the contract for the construction of a building at the airport. It indicated that it has filed and will continue to file legal complaints against those spreading these false news with clear objectives. The statement mentioned that "some media outlets circulated reports suggesting that the National Free Movement is involved in what they call a 'deal' for the expansion of Beirut Airport through the construction of a new passenger terminal." Additionally, former MP Mesbah al-Ahdab tweeted: "Unmatched corruption and audacity, Bassil is involved with Mikati in the airport deal while distracting the country with sectarian campaigns to divert attention from their deals and partnership in corruption."
