Azerbaijan Announces Death of Soldier Due to Armenian Gunfire

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced the death of one of its soldiers stationed on the border with Armenia as a result of sniper fire. The ministry's statement said: "In the afternoon of September 30, sniper fire was opened from the positions of the Armenian armed forces on the Azerbaijani army positions located in the village of Ashaghi-Ayrim in the Kalbajar region, resulting in the death of Azerbaijani soldier Vusal Orujov." According to the ministry, Azerbaijani units are taking measures to respond.
