Surprise in the Presidential Election Session on Thursday!

Informed political sources indicated that the presidential election session scheduled for next Thursday is merely another addition to the record of previous electoral sessions where electing a president for the country proved impossible. They affirmed that there is a possibility of surprising names being proposed, and noted that the coming days will witness an intensification of communications ahead of the election session. Meanwhile, the Shiite duo has not yet made a decision regarding support for any candidate, although evidence suggests that the Development and Liberation bloc leans towards former MP Sleiman Frangieh. These sources observed through "Al-Liwaa" that the atmosphere indicates that MP Michel Moawad has the backing of the opposition along with additional votes, but that is insufficient to secure the presidency. Furthermore, the sources reiterated that the country has entered a vacancy phase, with raised expectations and no decisions to lower them, which highlights the impossibility of reaching any agreement and electing a president for the country soon.
