United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) today, Sunday, to release the hostages it is holding unconditionally. He also urged Israel to allow humanitarian aid into the Palestinian Gaza Strip quickly and without any obstacles. Guterres stated in a statement that these two matters "should not become bargaining chips and must be implemented because it is the right thing to do."
