Videos circulating online seemingly show a fire erupting at Evin Prison in the Iranian capital, Tehran, which houses political prisoners. Gunfire and alarm sirens were also reported, according to Reuters. The footage revealed security reinforcements heading to the prison after the fire broke out. An Iranian official stated that Evin Prison experienced a riot by the inmates, which has since been brought under control. Meanwhile, the Iran International network, citing witnesses, reported that part of the prison's roof is collapsing due to the fire.
