The Economic Court in Alexandria has sentenced model Salma El-Shimy to two years in prison and fined her 100,000 Egyptian pounds for publishing photos and videos that include numerous indecent implications and gestures.
El-Shimy admitted to showcasing images and videos containing many suggestive and indecent moves to increase her follower count.
Her rise to fame began in 2020 after she held a photoshoot at the Saqqara Pyramid, where she appeared in a short white outfit and donned pharaonic symbols, creating significant controversy on social media platforms. Following the incident, security forces arrested her. Investigations at that time revealed that the photoshoot took place at the Saqqara Pyramid area, leading to the arrest of two inspectors from the Ministry of Antiquities and four security personnel present during the shoot, as the accused did not obtain permission to photograph.
Salma El-Shimy is an Egyptian model, born in Shubra, Cairo, and is 25 years old, known for her unique fashion modeling approach.
