Egyptian Minister of Supply Ali Moselhi announced today, Sunday, that the agreement between Egypt and the Emirati company "Al Dahra" for purchasing wheat needs the approval of the House of Representatives. The minister added that purchasing operations are expected to begin in January 2024 and will be conducted through a tendering system. Moselhi stated that Egypt's strategic reserve of wheat is sufficient for 4.7 months of consumption, adding that the strategic reserve of vegetable oils is enough for 3.9 months.
