Attempted Murder Charges Filed Against Woman in Child Abuse Video

The Attorney General of Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, announced the referral of those arrested in the case of child abuse at a daycare to the investigating judge after charging the accused, Jenny Halou, with attempted murder. In her decision, she pointed out that forcibly feeding a sleeping child and pressing her mouth could have led to choking or even death. Aoun considered this behavior an attempt to kill and, therefore, charged the daycare employee based on Article 554 of the Penal Code related to assault, violence, and harm. The owner of the daycare was also charged, as the judge deemed her complicit in the "crime" for not taking any action to deter such behavior.
