The White House reported today, Tuesday, that a "convoy of American vehicles was attacked in Nigeria without any injuries." National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby stated, "What I can tell you is that there are no injuries among Americans." He added, "We are aware of some injuries and possibly even some fatalities, but I don't want to jump too far ahead of our current position." CNN reported, citing local police and American officials, that four people were killed in the attack, including two employees from the U.S. consulate and two police officers, in addition to the kidnapping of three others.
