The Belgian football club "Standard Liege" announced today, Tuesday, the appointment of former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure as the assistant coach of the team. The 40-year-old Toure has played over 100 international matches for the Ivory Coast during his football career. He is the latest addition to the coaching staff under head coach Carl Hoefkins, who was appointed by the club last Friday. Toure had a brief stint as an assistant coach at the Ukrainian club Olympik Donetsk and also at the Russian club Grozny, both in 2021.
