The Kremlin said on Thursday that it hopes U.S. President Joe Biden meant to refer to Ukraine and not Iraq after what appeared to be a slip of the tongue from him on Wednesday. Biden had stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "losing the war in Iraq," when he intended to refer to Ukraine. In response to a question regarding the health of the 80-year-old U.S. president, the Kremlin stated that it could not comment on this matter.
