In a press conference, Kanaani stated: "The relevant authorities have announced a specific timeframe, and these procedures will take a maximum of two months." Earlier this month, Tehran and Washington reached an agreement that includes the release of five American citizens detained in Iran and the release of $6 billion worth of frozen Iranian assets in South Korea. South Korean media reported today that "the frozen Iranian assets in the country were transferred to the Swiss National Bank last week to be exchanged for other currencies and transferred to Iran."
