Tesla is recalling more than 400 vehicles in the United States due to a mechanical issue (the potential disconnection of the side link stabilizers in the front suspension). Tesla noted that it received 25 warranty claims and two field reports since January 2019, all related to the recall, but it has not received reports of any accidents or injuries. This new recall decision expands upon a recall campaign from 2021 due to the same issue that affected nearly 2,800 Model 3 vehicles from 2019 to 2021 and Tesla Model Y vehicles from 2020 and 2021. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated, "The separation of the side link may alter the wheel alignment and tracking, which could result in instability and increase the risk of accidents."
