Emirates Airlines Resumes Flights to Nigeria

The Nigerian presidency announced that Emirates Airlines will resume its flights to Nigeria immediately, and that the UAE will lift the visa ban on Nigerian travelers following a meeting between the presidents of both countries on Monday. Nigerian President Bola Tinubu met with his UAE counterpart Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Monday to discuss lifting the visa ban and agree on new investments in the largest economy in Africa. Tinubu stated last month that he wanted an immediate resolution to the disputes with Emirates Airlines and the visa issues in the Gulf state. The UAE stopped issuing visas for Nigerians last year after Emirates Airlines suspended flights from Dubai due to Nigeria's inability to settle its financial obligations.
