Telegram Receives New Features with Its Biggest Update of the Year

The team behind Telegram has announced the launch of a new update for the app, which is the largest since the beginning of this year, bringing additional features for users. Among the most notable aspects of the new update is the ability to convert any image, sticker, or emoji into a profile picture. This feature is now available to regular account holders after being restricted to users of the paid Telegram Premium services.

Content creators and channel owners on Telegram can now use emojis or stickers to set them as the main picture for their account, or they can use their personal account picture as the main image for the channels or groups they manage on the app.

Additionally, premium account holders on Telegram can translate the contents of conversations, channels, and groups into the language of their choice, while regular users can translate any individual message they have via the translation option in Telegram.

With the latest update, Telegram also introduced new features that help users understand the amount of Wi-Fi data consumed by the app, along with additional settings that assist users in controlling the amount of data the app will consume in the future. Users on Telegram can now also specify when media should be automatically saved to their device's photo gallery, based on the size and type of such data.
