The French Foreign Ministry called on Saturday for a "humanitarian ceasefire to allow aid to enter civilians in Gaza, following the opening of the Rafah border crossing between the enclave and Egypt." In a post on its official account on the platform "X," it stated: "France praises this first step. This access must be sustainable to meet all humanitarian needs of civilians in Gaza. We call for a humanitarian ceasefire. Our support for our staff and citizens on the ground."
