Title: After the February 6 Earthquake: Syrian Children Reunited with Their Mothers

On Friday, six Syrian mothers received their infants who had undergone treatment in Turkey following the earthquake that struck both countries on February 6. The infants were suffering from various health issues and were brought to hospitals in Hatay province for treatment due to a lack of medical resources in their homeland. After completing their treatment, the infants were handed over to their mothers at the "Cilvegözü" border crossing, opposite the "Bab al-Hawa" crossing on the Syrian side. Prior to the handover, DNA tests were conducted to prevent any mistakes during the transfer to their mothers. In a statement to Anadolu Agency, Muhammed Ali Gofen, Deputy Director of the Family and Social Services Directorate in Hatay, stated that the children were brought to Turkey for treatment from the Idlib and Afrin regions.
