Brentford Stops Aston Villa's Winning Streak with 1-1 Draw

Brentford held Aston Villa to a 1-1 draw, ending the visitors' five-game winning streak in the Premier League on Saturday. Ivan Toney opened the scoring for Brentford in the 65th minute, capitalizing on a cross from Bryan Mbeumo and placing it between the legs of Aston Villa substitute goalkeeper Robin Olsen, marking his 20th goal across all competitions this season.

Villa seemed headed for defeat until Emiliano Buendía surged forward in the 87th minute and passed the ball to Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz, who equalized from close range.

Villa currently sits in sixth place with 51 points from 32 matches, just one point and one position above Liverpool, who have played 31 matches, while Brentford is in tenth place with 44 points.
