The Swedish government condemned the burning of a copy of the Quran in front of the Stockholm mosque today, considering it an act hostile to Islam. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "The Swedish government fully understands that acts hostile to Islam committed by individuals during demonstrations in Sweden can be offensive to Muslims. We strongly condemn these actions, which in no way reflect the views of the Swedish government."
