The Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Abdelfattah Moussa, announced today, Friday, that defense leaders in West African countries have devised a plan for a potential military intervention in Niger if the coup leaders do not resign. Moussa added after a regional meeting in Abuja that the bloc would not disclose to the coup plotters when and where the strike would occur, as that decision would be made by the heads of state.
