Today, Wednesday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, received the Minister of Defense in the caretaker government, Maurice Slim, at the second presidential office in Ain al-Tineh, where they reviewed the general situation and the latest developments, especially those related to security. President Berri also discussed the security situation during his meeting with the Director of Army Intelligence, Brigadier General Tony Kahwaji. These meetings come after a gathering held in Ain al-Tineh with Army Commander General Joseph Aoun yesterday, Tuesday.
In a different context, on the occasion of July 5, "Aamal Martyr Day", Berri chaired an exceptional meeting of the Central Council of the movement in which he provided an overview of the political situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the movement's position on it. The participants also discussed organizational matters.
