India: Lunar-Bound Spacecraft Operating

This statement follows a recent failure of a Russian lander. The Indian spacecraft "Chandrayaan-3" is scheduled to land on August 23 at the lunar south pole, an area believed to contain dark craters with water ice that could support future lunar habitation.
