Allowing Call to Prayer in an American City

A young Egyptian girl named Rana Abdelhamid managed to obtain approval from the official authorities in Astoria, New York, to have the call to prayer (adhan) broadcast through loudspeakers at a mosque. Rana shared the first video of a prayer being called via loudspeakers in Astoria and wrote: "Praise be to God, the sound of the adhan in the streets of Astoria for the first time, proud of Rana Abdelhamid." Just an Astoria Muslim girl with three sound permits for outgoing adhan/call to prayer for the mosques she grew up in!
