Egypt: Ministry of Awqaf Announces Record Collection in Qurbani Certificates Project

The Egyptian Minister of Awqaf, Mokhtar Gomaa, announced that this year's collection from the Qurbani Certificates project has reached approximately 250 million Egyptian pounds. Gomaa stated on his Facebook account: "For the first time, the donations and Qurbani certificates in the Awqaf project have reached about 250 million pounds, and the collection continues until the afternoon of the third day of Tashreeq. The food provision project will remain ongoing throughout the year as part of programs to provide social protection for families in need and to reach the deserving wherever they are with dignity and honor." He added: "This gradual increase in the food provision project, which began in its first year with a collection estimated at about 38 million pounds, has been rising each year, reaching around 250 million pounds, with potential for further increase."
