An Arab Country Lifts the Ban on These Exports from Lebanon

The Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Dr. Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, received the Qatari ambassador to Lebanon, Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Mohammed Saleh Al-Sahlawi. They discussed the import and export operations of agricultural products. The Qatari ambassador conveyed to Al-Haj Hassan the approval of the ministries of municipalities, the environment involved in the agricultural sector, and health in Qatar to import all types of greens and leafy vegetables from Lebanon. Thus, there is no objection to importing the foodstuffs mentioned in the previously implemented ban, provided that exporters meet the conditions set by the relevant Qatari authorities.

For his part, Al-Haj Hassan thanked the Qatari government, represented by Ambassador Al-Sahlawi, and emphasized "the ongoing cooperation between the ministry and the Qatari embassy in Beirut for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples."

They also discussed the preparations underway for the International Horticulture Exhibition 2023, which will be organized in Doha in the coming weeks.
