Disaster Management in Sour: Number of Displaced Persons from Border Villages Reaches 911

The director of the Disaster Management Unit in the Municipal Union of Sour, Mortada Mohanna, indicated during a coordination meeting at the Disaster Management Unit headquarters in Sour that "the number of displaced individuals who have left the border villages adjacent to occupied Palestine has reached 911. They have been distributed across two approved shelters by the unit and several neighboring villages to the city of Sour." He added that "164 individuals have been sheltered in Sour Technical School and 234 individuals in Sour Official School, while the remaining displaced persons are spread across several villages in the Sour district, where we are working with municipalities to count them and secure their needs." Mohanna revealed that work is underway to "secure and prepare a new center in the Al-Burj Al-Janubi area, in anticipation of any emergency, as the capacity of the two approved centers is no longer sufficient." He stated, "We are working in coordination with the Governor of the South, Judge Mansour Daou, and the Municipal Chief of Sour, Mohamed Jafal."
