The Saudi technical team responsible for reopening the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's embassy in the Syrian Arab Republic has arrived in the capital, Damascus, to implement the Saudi decision to resume operations of its diplomatic mission in Syria. The Saudi technical team, led by Minister Plenipotentiary Ghazi bin Rafe' Al-Anzi, met with Syrian Assistant Foreign Minister Ayman Sosan and the head of ceremonies at the Syrian Foreign Ministry, Anfan Naib, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Damascus.
The head of the Saudi team expressed gratitude to the Assistant Foreign Minister for the warm welcome and facilitation of their arrival procedures, while Sosan conveyed their readiness and preparedness to provide all necessary support to facilitate the Saudi team's mission. The Syrian Foreign Ministry welcomed the delegation, stating: "We welcome the arrival of the Saudi technical team to reopen the embassy and will provide all necessary facilitation."
