Sisi to Sunak: Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Must Be Ensured

The Egyptian presidency stated in a statement today, Thursday, that "Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi confirmed during a phone call with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak the necessity of ensuring regular services and humanitarian and relief aid for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip." The statement mentioned: "The two sides agreed on the importance of continuing and intensifying efforts aimed at reducing tensions, protecting civilians from both sides, and preventing the deterioration of security and humanitarian conditions." For his part, the British Prime Minister acknowledged the difficult security situation at the Rafah crossing and offered to provide support to keep this route open for humanitarian aid.
