German police reported today, Monday, that several buildings in the city of Mainz were evacuated after receiving a bomb threat targeting the second channel of German television (ZDF), which has its headquarters there. The police stated in a press release that authorities assessed the threat, which was sent via email, and determined that there was no evidence of a tangible danger. The police searched the station's premises with trained dogs after receiving the threat at around 8:20 AM local time (06:20 GMT). Authorities allowed individuals to return to the buildings after approximately two hours.
