The spokesman for Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, Abu Hamza, stated that the battle is no longer confined to the Gaza Strip, urging "the resistance in the West Bank to confuse the enemy in all areas." He affirmed that "what the enemy has seen in the Gaza Envelope will be witnessed in other arenas, and we have prepared for the enemy both outside and inside Palestine."
