The governor of Russia's Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, stated today on the Telegram app that "one person was killed and another injured due to shelling by Ukrainian forces in the area adjacent to the border between the two countries." Belgorod has faced repeated gunfire across the border during the ongoing war that has lasted for 18 months. Ukraine usually does not comment on attacks within Russia.
