Al-Batroun's Mayor, Roger Toubiya, issued a decision to remove the stalls, tents, and shops selling coffee, water, and other necessities along the highways within the jurisdiction of Al-Batroun between the Madfoun Bridge and the town of Shkka. This decision came after the proliferation of these establishments without proper licenses and without adhering to public safety and traffic safety standards. These establishments, managed by Lebanese and Syrians, have become suspicious gathering spots that could pose security risks. Toubiya sent the decision to the commander of the Amioun detachment for enforcement, acting on the directives and circulars from the Minister of Interior and Municipalities.
