Death of a Man Causing an Explosion of Explosive Materials in a Court in Kyiv

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced that a man died after causing an explosion of explosive materials in a court in the capital city of Kyiv on Wednesday. He noted in a statement that the man "may have unintentionally caused the explosion."

The Kyiv city military administration reported that the explosion occurred at 5:20 PM (14:20 GMT) in the Shevchenkivskyi court in central Kyiv.

Footage from Reuters showed several ambulances arriving at the scene, while police cleared a path for them to enter the area. Social media videos displayed at least one individual being carried on a stretcher from the incident site, and Telegram channels quoted the prosecutor's office stating that two people were evacuated.
