The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants revealed that Lebanon has been informed about the departure of an illegal migration boat from its waters towards Cyprus. In this context, the ministry condemned illegal migration, emphasizing Lebanon's commitment to receiving holders of Lebanese identification documents among the migrants on board. The ministry also stressed Lebanon's refusal to accept any non-Lebanese migrant who has migrated illegally, regardless of the departure point of the boat. It expressed concern over the double standards of some countries and entities in dealing with illegal migrants, particularly Syrians. The statement said, "These countries refuse to admit them and forcibly return them via third countries to areas in Syria that they themselves describe as unsafe."
