National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated on Sunday that the United States believes Israel should take all possible measures to distinguish between Palestinian civilians and militants of the Hamas movement in its military operations in Gaza. Sullivan, in an interview with CNN, urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to "rein in" the violence of extremist Jewish settlers against innocents in the West Bank.
