China and Russia Conclude Joint Military Exercises

The Chinese Ministry of Defense indicated that "China and Russia concluded joint air and naval exercises in the Sea of Japan yesterday, aimed at ensuring the security of territorial waters." According to the Chinese statement, the Director of Training from the Chinese side, Qiu Wen Sheng, described the exercises as "a significant step toward ensuring the security of strategic waterways." Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of Training from the Russian side, Admiral Carly Kazkeev, stated that they "enhanced both sides' capabilities to address military threats."
