North Korea Criticizes UN Meeting on Human Rights

North Korea criticized a recent United Nations meeting regarding its human rights record, stating that the United States has used the international organization as part of its scheme against Pyongyang, according to the official Korean Central News Agency on Saturday. U.S. President Joe Biden agreed with the leaders of South Korea and Japan at Camp David on Friday to deepen military and economic cooperation in response to China's increasing power and nuclear threats from North Korea. China, North Korea's main ally, opposed the 15-member Security Council meeting on violations in North Korea but did not attempt to prevent it. For decades, Pyongyang has highlighted racial discrimination in the United States as what it describes as an example of Washington's hypocrisy.
