Berri's Meeting with Le Drian Was Candid and Good

At the beginning of his visit to Lebanon, the French presidential envoy and former Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian met with the Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh, where they discussed the upcoming presidential election. Speaker Berri stated that the meeting, which lasted over an hour, "was candid and good," while Le Drian left without making any comments. The meeting was attended by the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo. The French envoy is scheduled to meet with the caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail tomorrow, Thursday.
