Turkish Energy Minister Alperen Berke declared today that "Turkey is in discussions with Russia and South Korea regarding the establishment of a nuclear power plant in the Sinop region in the north of the country." Berke added in statements to the "TRT Haber" channel that "Ankara is also in talks with China to establish a third nuclear power plant in the Thrace region of western Turkey." The Russian company "Rosatom" is already building Turkey's first nuclear power plant in the Mersin region in the south of the country.
