"Illegal Internet" Between Qreim and Salam

On Tuesday, Minister of Telecommunications in the caretaker government, Johnny Qreim, met in his office with Minister of Economy in the caretaker government, Amin Salam, in the presence of Director General of Ogero, Imad Kreidieh, and Director General of the Ministry of Economy, Mohammad Abu Haidar. During the meeting, ways to launch cooperation between the Ministries of Telecommunications and Economy were discussed to work on pursuing illegal internet networks spread in various regions of Lebanon, due to their negative impact on the state’s economy. Qreim praised the efforts of the Ministry of Economy "despite the limited resources in controlling the pricing of illegal internet networks, and working to pursue any entity that monopolizes consumers in this regard."
