NATO: Ukraine Makes Progress in Its Counteroffensive

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted today that "Ukraine is making progress in the counteroffensive it launched in June to reclaim the territories seized by Russia." Stoltenberg stated, "The Ukrainians are gradually gaining territory... They have succeeded in breaking through the defensive lines of Russian forces and are moving forward." He added, "We have no information indicating a deliberate Russian attack, and we are awaiting the outcome of the ongoing investigation," emphasizing that "regardless of the outcome of the investigation, what we have witnessed is, of course, a lot of fighting as well as airstrikes near NATO's borders."
