The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Friday that a landslide has claimed the lives of at least 11 people in the mountainous town of Shovi, located in the Racha region known for its mineral waters. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated, "Dozens of people are still missing." The Ministry of Internal Affairs mentioned that rescue operations are ongoing. Footage of the landslide captured by drones showed parts of the town covered in mud, tree trunks, and debris.
