Casualty and Missing Person in Japan Due to Heavy Rainfall

One person has died and at least one other is missing in Japan, according to authorities who issued evacuation orders for areas inhabited by approximately two million people. The National Meteorological Agency warned of the possibility of landslides, floods, and other disasters in western, central, and eastern Japan, where monsoon rains have caused heavy downpours. A local police official in Yamaguchi Prefecture confirmed to AFP, "a dead man was found" inside a car swept away by the water in a river.
