Wall Street Opens Lower Ahead of Inflation Data

Major indices on Wall Street opened slightly lower today, Monday, as investor concerns persist ahead of a key inflation report, while weak data from China has raised fears of a looming economic slowdown. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 29.20 points or 0.09 percent at the open to 33,705.68 points. The S&P 500 index dropped by 4.72 points or 0.11 percent to 4,394.23 points, while the Nasdaq Composite decreased by 15.34 points or 0.11 percent to 13,645.37 points at the open.
