The head of the "Independence Movement," MP Michel Moawad, visited the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Al-Bukhari, where they discussed current developments and the outcomes of the quintet committee meeting in Doha. During the meeting, Moawad praised "the efforts made by the Kingdom to support the Lebanese in their struggle to regain sovereignty, uphold the rule of law, build the state, reform institutions, and revive economic growth." He reiterated that "the only way to any solution lies in electing a President of the Republic as soon as possible and in accordance with constitutional procedures."
