Video - Deaths and Injuries in Truck-Bus Collision in Japan

Five people have died, and 12 others have been injured following a collision between a truck and a bus in Hokkaido, northern Japan, according to local media reports. The Kyodo news agency quoted police as saying that the truck may have been driving in the wrong direction, and the bus was carrying 15 passengers at the time of the incident that occurred on Sunday. Kyodo reported that "the drivers of both the truck and the bus were killed in the accident." Footage broadcast by local media showed the wreckage of both vehicles on the road following the crash. The head-on collision between the bus and the truck in Hokkaido that claimed five lives may have been caused by the 4-ton truck straying into oncoming traffic in the opposite lane. Kyodo stated that the bus was en route from Sapporo to Hokkaido, while the truck was transporting pigs from Hokkaido to Yakumo.
