Title: Syria Requests UN Condemnation of Israeli Attack

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has called on the United Nations and the Security Council to condemn the Israeli attack on the outskirts of Damascus early today. It noted that "Israel committed a heinous crime around 2:20 AM on August 7, by carrying out an air assault from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting several locations in the vicinity of Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of four Syrian soldiers, injuries to four others, and material losses." It considered this aggression to be a defined crime and a grave violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
