French President Emmanuel Macron announced that there have been communications between France and "Hezbollah" to avoid escalation between the group and Israel on the southern border of Lebanon. Macron told reporters on Friday, "We sent messages to (Hezbollah) directly through our ambassador and our institutions." He noted that despite the gunfire across the border, "there has not been an escalation," adding, "But we remain very cautious."
