Sınan Oğan, the nationalist candidate who finished third in the Turkish presidential elections, confirmed that he can only support opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the runoff if Kılıçdaroğlu agrees to make no concessions to a pro-Kurdish party. In an interview with Reuters, Oğan stated, "We will consult with our voter base before reaching a decision regarding the runoff, but we have made it clear that fighting terrorism and repatriating refugees are red lines." He mentioned that he has not yet met with Erdoğan or Kılıçdaroğlu since the elections on Sunday but indicated that he would be open to negotiations "based on their principles." He added, "Voters sent a message that they do not trust the opposition enough, but they assigned us a role as a balancing force to the ruling party." Oğan received 5.2% of the votes in the elections on Sunday.
